The wildly popular "anti-Valentine's Day" StorySlam returns! Storytellers take to the stage with their true tales of love lost, ranging from the sweet to the sad, the hilarious to the ridiculous. Bring your ex. Bring your bestie. Bring your date. Bring your story. Ten storytellers will be selected from audience volunteers to tell personal stories on the theme "Ex-Files". With your host Robin Gelfenbien.

For more info about how you can tell your story, plus Slam rules and storytelling tips, click here. This event regularly sells out, so advance ticket purchase is highly recommended.

MEET YOUR HOST

Robin Gelfenbien is an NYC-based storyteller, writer, and comedian who’s performed at The Moth, RISK! and Mortified. She’s the Creator and Host of the storytelling series and podcast, Yum’s the Word, that features her homemade ice cream cakes. The show has been named one of the “5 Best Storytelling Series in NYC” by CBS, a Time Out New York Critic’s Pick and Bon Appetit raved, "We love Yum’s the Word." Guests have included Jason Biggs, The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi, Joy Behar and stars from Orange is the New Black.

Robin has written jokes for emcee Rosie O’Donnell at The Matrix Awards where featured presenters included Martha Stewart, Rupert Murdoch, Hillary Clinton and more.

Her critically-acclaimed solo show, My Salvation Has a First Name (A Wienermobile Journey), premiered at the New York International Fringe Festival. New York Magazine called it “the highlight of next month’s Fringe” and Time Out New York gave it 4 stars.

She's performed her original comedy songs at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and on Sirius Radio. She’s also been on VH1 and AMC, and she starred in a commercial directed by Spike Lee. She’s working on a memoir about how the Wienermobile saved her life. www.robingelfenbien.com Photo credit: Jordan Matter.
